Modern cartoons affect your mind so much that after watching you just sit staring at the screen trying to come to senses. If you are not strong enough they can cause convulsions, disorientation and even complete dependence on TV. Such masterpieces include the cartoon “Sponge Bob square pants”. Last time we drew a picture of Sponge Bob – the main character and today we will draw Patrick.
Sponge Bob is the product of imagination of cleaners and divers, but their fantasy was over before it began functioning and it was slowly replaced by delirium. The plot revolves around revived sponge that lives under the water and gradually absorbs the whole storage of water on the earth. Though, this moment is skipped in the cartoon as well as other logical moments such as fire under the water, Pineapple house, shower and a squirrel with inborn resistance to pressure of several atmospheres. I don’t even say a word about snail Gary. Patrick is a forced friend of square pants, a lazy and stupid idiot. He lives under a stone of crazy shape where he usually sleeps or is going to sleep. In spite of his childish way of thinking and optimism, he often has ideas on the level of great philosophers.
You should know that:
- It might seem that Patrick is the symbol of laziness, but if to think of it, you will not often find a starfish that can talk and walk;
- Many people follow Patrick’s way of life in many ways;
- Patrick is one of the characters that teach kids to look at the world under the correct angle and choose the right aims in the form of doing nothing.
This is all I can say about the character. Let’s draw now.
How to draw Patrick step by step
Step 1. As he always accompanies Sponge Bob, we will draw both of them. So we first sketch two figures.
Step 2. We draw Patrick on the left side and Bob — on the right.
Step 3. Correct the contours and add some seaweed. Draw the faces of the characters.
Step 4. Show the background: some buildings.
Step 5. Erase extra lines and do shading.
Done! If you want to draw other characters of this cartoon, write me about it.
