Prometheus brought fire to people. But he didn’t teach people to preserve it. For sure, he was punished later by gods of Olympus for illegal possession and distribution of flammable substances. But people learnt to eat hot food and didn’t wish to stop it. So, there came shamans, who could cause storms and rains with the divine fire in the form of lightning. Several thousand years later the first matchbox was invented and today we will draw a it.
A matchbox is a device for keeping certain amount of matches in the same place. It is quite a unique device as it can be used after all matches are gone. You can use it as a container for some small things, dry grass, usual grass, microbes and parasites. Nobody knows how many matches you can put in one box and it shows us how unique and special each box is.
Matches are eco-friendly products. They are good for picking inaccessible places, burning fires, smoking and other funny things.
- The first matches consisted of sulfur and smelled terribly while burning;
- If you suddenly lost your ruler, don’t worry. The only thing you need is a matchbox which is 5 cm long.
- For producing matches they use aspen — the tree that grows in hell.
- Matches can serve as a lighter.
Now try to draw a matchbox.
How to draw a matchbox step by step

Step 2. Draw the box and make the matches thicker.
Step 3. Draw several matches inside of the matchbox.
