Today we will draw an orchid. Let me tell you a little about this flower:
- The orchids belong to the orchid family and they are flowering plants with colorful and fragrant blooms;
- You can find them everywhere, except the North Pole! I wonder why;
- The pollen collected from this flower is not good for feeding of the insects offspring. And only some of the flowers have nectar.
Why do we need such a useless flower? For esthetics, I suppose. So let’s try to draw this beautiful flower.
How to draw an orchid step by step
Step 1. It’s not easy to draw it. But we will try. We’ll draw two of them. We show 5 petals of one flower with broken lines and do the same for another one below.
Step 2. Now we turn the petals into smooth and curved. We add small and thin leaves. And we can see the short lines coming out of the cores – the stamens.
Step 3. We draw the veins on the leaves and shade the small leaves.
Step 4. We hatch the leaves and the flowers and then we color them.
